“The biggest communication problem is we do not listen to understand. We listen to reply.”
-Stephen Covey
In this series, Dawn and Gabby have been focusing on better ways to communicate. Often, regardless of the policies and procedures adopted by a Board of Directors or how hard a Board of Directors and management try to remain professional and follow the policies, the same problems continue to surface over and over again. Along these same lines, it is the same person who continues to ignore the polices and procedures adopted. This person may be a Unit Owner or a member of the Board of Directors. This can lead not only to frustration, but it can also divert the Board of Directors from the business that must be conducted.
Join Dawn and Gabby in Part Three of this Three Part Series on Communication when they will address how to handle repeat offenders. Gabby and Dawn will address remedies available to community associations and how to determine which is best for your “problem”.
